The conditions were super small but epic for the young groms. Fantastic weather topping out near the 30 degree mark.
There was a great atmosphere for the first comp with many new faces joining the club. Some of the older boys really struggled in the smaller conditions still carrying some Christmas weight, still not getting the summer bodies back in form.
Fun closeout barrells were had by the young groms, it was great to see them getting out there without so much parent assist. It was great to see all the sponsors on proud display on the beach and over the PA system.
The BBQ was in full swing with epic BBQ rolls, burgers and refreshments for the hot day. Josie, Aaron and Jenny did a fantastic job. With Ricky, Ian, Wal and Steve smashing it running the day.
We all went back to our major sponsor The Hoey Moey for the presentation once the day was done.
